Described by the Portsmouth News as having an “immaculate vibe”, Southsea Food Festival, attracted thousands of visitors to the centre of Southsea over the weekend (20 & 21 July 2024) to celebrate some of the best food and drink producers in the region.

With over 60 traders to choose from, visitors sampled a smorgasbord of culinary delights that ranged from churros, takoyaki, ice cream, cannelloni, BBQ, condiments, local brewed beers and even Portsmouth 5-year aged rum.  A new conversation stage, family entertainments and live acoustic music stage showcasing the best local talent also added to the vibe.

Councillor Steve Pitt, Leader of the council with responsibilities for economic responsibilities said:

“Southsea Food Festival is a highlight of the year, and our 16th edition proved just as popular as ever.  It was fantastic to see people of all ages enjoying the delicious food and vibrant entertainment that Southsea has to offer.

As one the largest food festivals in the South, Southsea Food Festival is an important event that supports our businesses and local economy.”

Southsea Food Festival is one of the largest food festivals in the South and is part of a programme of activities to support small businesses in Portsmouth.
