Wendy’s opens in Portsmouth’s city centre
American burger chain, Wendy’s has opened in Portsmouth’s city centre. The new restaurant is owned and operated by franchisee NFH Restaurants and is located in the heart of the high street at 144 Commercial Road, on the former site Burton’s clothing store.

Councillor Steve Pitt Leader of Portsmouth City Council with responsibility for economic development said:

Wendy’s Portsmouth will be open:
o Monday to Thursday: 7:00am to 10:00pm
o Friday to Saturday: 8:00am to 11:00pm
o Sunday: 8:00am to 10:00pm
The Portsmouth Wendy’s is the first of several Wendy’s restaurants that NFH Restaurants aim to open across the UK. The restaurant will start with 78 covers and has already created around 60 jobs in the city.
